About Pedicure
A pedicure is a way to improve the appearance of the feet and the nails. It provides a similar service to a manicure. The word pedicure refers to superficial cosmetic treatment of the feet and toenails. They are extremely popular throughout the world, primarily among women.
This treatment is not limited to the nails. Dead skin cells on the soles of the feet are removed using a foot file and the legs and feet are exfoliated and massaged.
French polish is very popular and offers a classic look. The tips of the nails are painted white while the rest of the nails are polished in a pink or a suitable nude shade.
After-Care for Pedicure
- Nail polish may be dry to touch in a few minutes but it may not be smudge proof for a few hours. Avoid wearing socks and closed toe shoes for a few hours after a treatment.
- Use cuticle oil daily. A small amount at night will help keep the skin and nails nourished.
- Always use a base coat to prevent your nails staining & to protect them. A top coat will make sure polish lasts longer.
- Use a non-acetone nail polish remover when removing nail polish.
- Apply moisturiser to the feet in the morning and at night to avoid roughness and dryness.
- Use a foot file and exfoliator in between appointments to avoid the build up of hard skin.
- Use talcum powder in-between toes to prevent sweating and athletes foot.
- We advise regular pedicures every 4 weeks to keep your nails in tip top condition.
